The physical editions were published by PLAION and sold for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC (a code in a box in some regions) through retailers Pearl Abyss listed across North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East (Pearl Abyss). PlayStation's physical editions differ in languages by region: the Korean and Japanese versions do not include Chinese.

The Deluxe Pack

The Deluxe Pack is three sets of cosmetic and starting gear for Kliff and his horse (Steam):

  • Kairos Plate Set: helm, gloves, boots, cloak and armor.
  • Balgran Shield.
  • Exclaire Horse Tack Set: champron, barding, saddle and stirrups.

It comes with the Deluxe and Collector's Editions and costs $12.99 on its own for Standard owners, $3 more than the step from the Standard to the Deluxe Edition. More armor and shields are on Weapons and Gear.

The Collector's Edition and the Ultimate Pack

The Collector's Edition's centerpiece is a diorama of Kliff facing the Golden Star, 17 by 11 by 10 inches (44 by 28 by 25 cm), Pearl Abyss said; in the product image it is a golden dragon with red wings over a small figure. The launch trailer shows a golden mechanical dragon in flight over a desert town, the kind of foe the diorama depicts (Golden Star). The box also held the Ultimate Pack, sold nowhere else: the Tormented Soul Bow, the Derictus Spear, the Sielos Longsword, the Shroud Lantern and the Hyperion Horse Tack Set (Pearl Abyss's FAQ, Mar 12, 2026). Pearl Abyss has not said whether the Collector's Edition sold out, as of Oct 21, 2026.

Pre-order bonuses

Every pre-order of Crimson Desert came with the Khaled Shield, and PlayStation pre-orders added the Grotevant Plate Set of helm, armor, cloak, gloves and boots (Pearl Abyss). Pre-orders also unlocked items in Pearl Abyss's other game, Black Desert: horse tack in the style of its Crow Wings, a Golden Star statue and a Golden Star pet (Pearl Abyss on Steam, Dec 17, 2025).

Prices around the world

At the announcement the Standard Edition was $69.99, €69.99 and £59.99 on Steam, and £54.99 on PlayStation and Xbox. The Mac App Store sells it as Crimson Desert Enhanced for $69.99. Pearl Abyss's average selling price fell from about 74,000 won to about 63,000 won between the first and second quarters of 2026, which it tied to regional pricing, sales channels and the mix of digital and physical copies.

Sales and discounts

Crimson Desert's first sale ran with the free Crimson Desert Enhanced update: 20% off on every platform from Aug 24 or 25 to Sep 9 or 10, 2026, depending on the platform and region. The Enhanced trailer ends on it, "20% off, available now", over the logos of PS5, Xbox, Steam, the Mac App Store and the Epic Games Store. On Oct 20, 2026 the prices were back to $69.99 and $79.99 on Steam. Pearl Abyss has not announced another sale, as of Oct 21, 2026. Enhanced itself cost owners nothing (Crimson Desert Enhanced).

The DLC's price

Charting the Unknown, the first DLC, costs $24.99 (27,800 won in Korea), digital only, and needs the base game; it is not part of any edition, the Deluxe Edition included. Its reveal trailer ends on its own pre-order screen, with two figures in diving suits: the pre-order bonus is the Charter's Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter's Light Diving Set for Damiane (Pearl Abyss). It comes out on Oct 29, 2026 at 22:00 UTC (Charting the Unknown Release Date and Time).

Which edition to buy

The editions play the same game: the Deluxe Pack and Ultimate Pack add armor, shields, weapons and horse tack, not quests or areas. The Standard Edition at $69.99 is the whole game, with every free update; the Deluxe Edition adds the three Deluxe Pack sets for $10 more, and the pack alone costs $12.99 later. The Collector's Edition was a limited physical box for collectors. None of the editions includes Charting the Unknown.
