BossesCrimson Desert has more than 75 bosses (75 in the game's Knowledge tab according to Game Rant, plus story fights outside it), from duels with knights to giant beasts and war machines, and since update 1.05.00 on May 2, 2026 most of them can be fought again through Boss Rematch. -
Golden StarGolden Star is a giant golden mechanical dragon, Crimson Desert's Chapter 11 boss at Marni's Masterium in Delesyia (Game Rant). Throw the Marni Spears placed around the arena to fill its stun meter, then hit it while it is grounded; beating it grants the Golden Fire reward. -
Hexe MarieHexe Marie is a witch boss of Crimson Desert's Chapter 9, fought at the Hexe Sanctuary according to Game Rant's boss list. She teleports, sends swarms of crows and summons Hexe warriors; clear her minions, then pin her down with Force Palm and heavy attacks (TheGamer).
-
MyurdinMyurdin is the leader of the Black Bears, the Greymanes' sworn enemies in Crimson Desert. Kliff loses to him in the prologue whatever happens, beats him in a two-phase fight at Ashclaw Keep in Chapter 7, and meets him a last time in Chapter 12 as Myurdin, the Avatar of Umbra (Game Rant).
-
Queen Stoneback CrabThe Queen Stoneback Crab is a giant crab boss in Crimson Desert's Delesyia whose back is a mossy hill of rock and minerals; you beat her by climbing onto her back, breaking the mineral deposits to expose glowing weak points and piercing them, then smashing the pots on her back in the second phase (Game Rant and TheGamer). Her desert cousin, the Queen Bismuth Oreback Crab, got a new attack pattern in update 1.12.00.
-
Reed DevilThe Reed Devil is Crimson Desert's Chapter 3 main-story boss, fought in a field of reeds on the way to the Mountain of Frozen Souls in Hernand; after his first health bar he makes clones, and you break the scarecrow effigies (totems) with charged heavy attacks or Force Palm, while Blinding Flash can stun him (PCGamesN and TheGamer). Pearl Abyss eased the fight in patches 1.00.02 and 1.00.03.
-
StaglordSaigord, the Staglord, is an armored warrior boss with antlers, a red cape and an ornate shield in Crimson Desert's Hernand, fought at the Icemoor Castle Ruins at the end of the House Serkis questline; TheGamer's guide describes two phases and says to dodge sideways and parry the attack after the phase change. He drops the Staglord's Shield and an Abyss Artifact. -
UmbraUmbra is Crimson Desert's final boss, fought from the back of the dragon Blackstar in the Umbra Abyss in Chapter 12, right after Corrupted Caliburn and Myurdin, the Avatar of Umbra (Game Rant). Fireballs from the dragon fill Umbra's stun meter; then you glide to its eye and strike it with Force Palm.
-
White HornWhite Horn, Shepherd of Souls, is a giant antlered, white-furred beast boss in Crimson Desert's Pailune, fought in a snowstorm in three phases; Game Rant's guide says Flame Strike sets its fur alight and forces it to stop and roll. The Clockwork White Horn of Delesyia is a different, mechanical boss.
Beginner Guides

Beginner's GuideCrimson Desert has no experience levels: Kliff grows stronger through Abyss Artifacts, which unlock skills and raise health and stamina, and through refining his gear, so the early hours are best spent following the main story into Hernand and the Abyss, collecting Abyss Artifacts, learning Force Palm and Blinding Flash, and choosing the difficulty (Easy, Normal or Hard since Apr 23, 2026) and controls that suit you. -
Difficulty and AccessibilityCrimson Desert has had Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty settings since update 1.04.00 (Apr 23, 2026), changeable at any time in Settings > Play; at launch it had one difficulty, today's Normal. The same update added Colorblind Mode, Photosensitive Mode and control presets, and later patches added full controller remapping, a minimum font size, a HUD hide option and lock-on camera choices.

How Long to BeatPearl Abyss has not given an official length for Crimson Desert, but press estimates put the main story at roughly 80 hours (PCGamesN) and far more with side content (TheGamer's reviewer needed about 150 hours for the story), across a Prologue, 12 chapters and an Epilogue; HowLongToBeat's player averages, as reported in May 2026, were about 62.5 hours for the story and 126 with side quests.
